Hasta la Vista, June

Sunburnt shoulders, grey days, evening strolls, a trip to the
seaside and fun in the rain, June you were awesome...

I can't believe it's July tomorrow and only 10 days until I fly to Barcelona!

It's that time of the week again...

Am I right, blogland?!
This week seems to have been really long, maybe because it's my penultimate week at work before
a two-week break in which I have lots of fun planned, including a five-day trip to Barcelona!!

Anyway on with my highlights from the past week...

1. I started the week with a freshened up colour and slightly new do, courtesy of my hairdresser cousin...

2. I've had a few complements this week that I'm looking leaner and meaner :) this healthy eating thing must be working, although the scales have been stuck on the same number for a few days - I must be losing inches!

3. I've started a new book and I'm loving it...
It looks a bit creepy and scary from the cover but it's not, not so far anyway. You can read the book description here :)

4. Hubby and I are on babysitting duty tonight :) that's right, we have Leighton overnight for the first time since he was 3 months old - wish us luck!

5. I have something super exciting to announce on Tuesday, so make sure you check back on Tuesday to find out more :)

Oh and one more for luck: I have a new Twitter handle :) #followme

Today I'm linking up with Kelly and Cheltee for their Wife2Wife link up.
"Blast from the Past!
Share your favourite detail from your wedding..."

I couldn't decide on just one detail from my wedding day so I'm sharing three that I still adore,
almost four years later...

This was my 'something old' and my 'something borrowed' as this tiara actually belongs to my mum;
she married my dad wearing it in May 1981 :)

Cake Toppers
If you know anything about Hubby from the snippets of info I share about him on here is that he LOVES
football, so when I saw this cake topper online I had to buy it. It's perfect. I had to paint the bride's
hair brown so she looked more like me but (I think) she complements the groom really well :)

Memorial Vase
Placed next to the cake, this vase was something both Hubby and I wanted to do without really drawing too much attention to it; it was just for us and I'm so glad we did it. It was a heart-shaped vase with the names of my granddads and his grandma engraved, people who couldn't be with us in person to share our special day.

What are your favourite details from your wedding day?
Happy hump day :)
