12 months

Today is the last day of 2014
This year has been a pretty good one; here are some of my highlights...

I learned to embrace my inner old lady and hubby celebrated being another year wiser older.

2014's second month brought some happiness for my family, my first review and a rant about having children.

Another review and a look at a typical Sunday, as well as a bit of a rant about bad grammar.

What better time than April to look at what makes me odd unique, what things you need to know to really know me and a trip back in time to when I was 13 years old!

May signalled six months since I'd bought a dSLR camera, as well as being the month I shared just some of things I say yes and no to.

Summer had me feeling bold and so I confessed to being a fan, told you what my keyboard would say if it could talk, roped in Hubby to give us the low down on the world cup and I shared some life lessons with you all. I also did my first ever guest post for the beautiful Kelly.

Two weeks off work meant a trip to Barcelona (I, II, III) and the opportunity to become a spa spy for the day. Kelly and I also teamed up for her very first Blogger 2 Blogger Book Club

Despite the death of Robin Williams weighing heavily on hearts across the world, this month saw me blogging about Hubby's football season essentials, surviving football season as a wife, how to get the perfect at home manicure and I also changed the name of this blog to something more fitting.

September saw me embark on the 100 happy days challenge, celebrate four years of marriage, wax lyrical about autumn and encourage you to watch five shows this fall.

I turned 30 (and kinda crapped my pants about it), shared some scenes from around my home and took part in a few days of Blogtober14.

In November I indulged my love for dark nails, tried to show you all how much Supernatural means to me and how being 30 ain't all that scary, or different to 29.

With the festivities in full swing, I shared Christmas according to me (I & II), my Christmas wish list, how festive my house looks and my busy festive season.

What a fantastic year it has been.
Thank you for reading and I hope you'll stick around throughout 2015!

Christmas photo dump

Happy Tuesday, blogland.
It doesn't feel like a Tuesday. As I type this, I'm sat on my sofa in my PJs and it feels distinctly like a Saturday. If I'm honest, my body has no idea what day it is! The last week has been amazing, but it has flown by. So I can look back at Christmas 2014, this is a post full of too many photos of the past few days - scroll at your own discretion...

Christmas Eve

Christmas Day

Boxing Day
It seems I barely took any photos on 26th December, despite going for a meal with my dad's side of the family to celebrate my Grandma's birthday and an evening spent at my Auntie's house, eating more food and watching Avenger Assemble!
Hubs spent the afternoon watching his favourite footie team (Tottenham Hotspur)
playing our local footie team (Leicester City) - his team won, hence the smile!

Saturday 27th
Saturday was spent in the car, driving north to Bolton where two dear friends would be tying the knot on Sunday...

Sunday 28th, also known as wedding day for Bob & Laura

Monday 29th
Monday was spent in the car, travelling south...

followed by an evening doing nothing but laying on the sofa, catching up on some TV...

I'll be back tomorrow for my last post of 2014 with another recap, this time of the past 12 months!

Happy Christmas

This is it; it's Christmas Eve

The fun and festivities will be in full swing this time tomorrow and I've decided this year that I'm going to take a proper break from blogging. This will be my last post until Tuesday 30th December - yes, my gift to me this Christmas is a week
off from blogging (mainly because I want to and also because two dear friends of ours are tying the knot on Sunday
28th December and I cannot see where I will find the time to blog around all the drinking celebrating).

So, today I want to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy 2015. Thank you so
much for reading my blog this past year and I hope I've entertained you enough to keep reading into 2015.

PS - if you're looking for something to read today, head on over to Kelly's blog, where I'm talking about
British Christmas traditions; it's a great read, if I do say so myself ;)

#100happydays: week thirteen

Holy cow, Blogland. It's Christmas Eve eve today!
Seriously, this year has just flown by! I can't believe that today is day 92 of my 100 happy days challenge; I dunno if it is the time of year or if the challenge is working, but I am genuinely feeling happier these days!

Day 85: A beautiful card from my Hubby :) #lovehim
Day 86: Christmas presents... for myself #opps
Day 87: Bedtime
Day 88: Festive nails
Day 89: A beautiful but chilly Saturday stroll
Day 90: Family fun at the local Indian restaurant
Day 91: A delish lunch :)

Happy Tuesday Christmas Eve eve!

A December dSLR dump

Although December isn't over yet, every photo I take from now until the 31st will be Christmas related,
so I'm gonna do my monthly dump of SLR photos early :)

I'm not sure if I'm going to continue to do these posts next year - what do you think?

You can see all my dSLR dumps from the past 12 months here
