N is for Nails

I really love painted nails; in my opinion, they look so much nicer than bare nails. As you can see from the photo above, I've been a fan of painted nails from a young age.

As I write this post, my nails look like this...

My nails looked like this at Easter...
I drew the chick on myself, with a nifty nail art tool :)

You can see more of my love for painting my nails here

    1. Me too Jodie; I've developed a habit of painting them a light colour during the week though so if it chips it's not so obvious. It's a downward spiral though :( you do not want to see the state of my nails right now!

  5. I also like painted nails, but I can never have mine painted because of my job. I try to keep my toenails painted in the summer though.

    1. I'm really bad at painting my tow nails because I hate having long toe nails - nails scraping on socks is my finger nails on a chalk board!

  6. They look gorgeous! I'm not very good at painting my nails, I do it because it helps me stop biting them but they look rubbish. I'm not patient enough either to do a fancy design, I love yours though.

    1. Thanks Rowena. I only have time because I tend to do them at work on a Friday once the magazines have been sent to print. I don't have as much patience to do them at home, although it has been known!

  7. I'm also a nail biter. I was good for ten years, but now I'm back to it. OK. You've inspired me. I'm going to grow my nails and treat myself to a chick manicure.

    1. Do it, Susie. I bit my nails as a teenager but stopped aged about 15. I just stopped overnight. I still nibble at the skin around them sometimes :( I think having gorgeous painted nails can give you an amazing confidence boost!

  8. I am always jealous of people who can paint their own nails. I can manage to make my left hand look great, but my right hand always looks a mess. I won't even attempt anything special like that cute little chick! :-)

    1. It just takes practice, Ashlee. Paint them when you have time and don't rush. Wait for your left hand to fully dry and then you can devote all your time to your right. You won't improve unless you practice. My nail art is shoddy on my right hand but as long as I keep practising then I can only improve :)
